The Reindeer Lake Bench-to-Bedside Conference on the Cerebral and Coronary Microcirculations

Where: Lawrence Bay Lodge, Reindeer Lake Lodge, Saskatchewan Canada

When: August 22-25, 2021

Purpose: To bring together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and businessmen with interests in basic and translational discovery, regulation of blood flow to the brain and heart, and the molecular basis of mitochondrial function.  Discussion and presentations will occur in an informal setting, interspersed with fishing, designed to stimulate discussion among all participants. Presentations will occur in the morning and evening with an emphases on basic and translational science, patent filing and protection, and translating discovery into commercialization.

Price (including Registration): $1795.  This price includes registration for the meeting, a floatplane ride from Southend of Reindeer Lake to Lawrence Bay Lodge, 4 nights of accommodations with meals, 3 days of fishing with a guide and a rod and reel.  This price does not include beverages that are consumed outside of meals, tips, miscellaneous items such a fishing lures, and transportation to Southend, Saskatchewan.  Typically, one would fly into Saskatoon with three options for travel to the lodge:

Option 1: Drive from Saskatoon to the float plane base at Southend (southern end of Reindeer Lake) in a rental vehicle. It is a 6-hour drive from Saskatoon to the floatplane base; this would cost about $150/person round trip. 

Option 2: Fly from Saskatoon to La Ronge on Transwest Air ($440/person round trip).  In La Ronge, the lodge planes (Lawrence Bay Airways) can meet you and fly you via floatplane directly to Lawrence Bay Lodge ($795/person round trip). 

Option 3: Fly from Saskatoon to La Ronge (Transwest Air, $440/person round trip) and take a van taxi from La Ronge to the floatplane base (2.5-hour ride, $150/person round trip).
