A Return to Self-Management Effective July 1, 1999

Beginning July 1, 1999, Associated Management Service will no longer serve as our agent. We will return to the realm of self-management in July. As member, you need to be aware of the following. Paul McDonagh, our Treasurer, will be sending out dues notices and receiving checks at his office in Arizona. As Secretary, I will be responsible for the other details unrelated to finances. We would both appreciate your cooperation in making this transition as smooth as possible.

You are all aware that our membership records need to be recompiled. We need all the membership's cooperation and patience with this daunting task. Bob Gore with the help of Paul McDonagh and Mrs. Holly Lopez are reconstructing the directory, and diligently checking all the existing records. If you are aware of anyone who has been lost in the management fiasco, please let us know. If anyone who is a member is not receiving the Newsletter, please have them contact us. Currently on the Web site in the Membership section is a form for updating/entering your information for the revised directory. We are working very diligently on this task and appreciate your assistance.

In early July, a current, revised membership list will be posted as a searchable directory on the Web at http://microcirc.org. Please check it to see if you are listed. Make any corrections to your entry that are necessary. If your name and data are missing, use the available entry and correction form, and enter your information. If the information is correct, please indicate that as well. You will also be able to check on your dues status at that time. If you have not paid your dues, please send your check to Paul McDonagh. It is also important that we have your correct E-mail address so that we can provide you with up-to-date information about the Society including notification of when the Newsletter is available on the Web for your perusal. In this regard, in the process of revising the directory, Bob Gore has discovered that nearly 25% of the E-mail address listed by members are incorrect, or no longer functional. There is no way to know when members' E-mail addresses have changed unless they notify us. In the process of developing a searchable directory, we hope that members will use the correction forms to make their own correction, once the directory is posted and fully operational on the web. There will likely be a few bugs when we first post the directory. Hence, we will need your cooperation and feedback so that we may best serve the membership.

Listed below is information on how to reach the Society Officers. We would all appreciate your cooperation in communicating with us via E-mail if at all possible. We all check our E-mail on a regular basis and will respond as quickly as possible. Certainly, if there is an urgent question or something which requires discussion, we will be happy to address that via phone, although we are all a bit difficult to reach that way. E-mail is best.
